Bangkok sun and acid rain are the two things that fade paint fastest. Wax is the layer between your paint and both of them: water beads and rolls off instead of sitting as a stain, and the next wash is easier because dust has a harder time gripping the surface.

Polishing first improves the result. Wax is short-to-medium term protection, not a permanent coating. How long it lasts depends on whether the car is parked outside or under cover and how often it's washed. We'll tell you honestly when yours will be due again.

We use premium Meguiar's products, including Gold Class Carnauba and Ultimate Paste Wax

How long does wax last?
It depends mostly on use. A car parked outside in sun and rain every day gets far less life from it than one kept under cover. We'll assess your car and suggest a realistic interval.
What's the difference between wax and a glass/ceramic coating?
Wax is short-to-medium protection: cheaper and easy to reapply. A glass or ceramic coating is a much harder, much longer-lasting layer, but costs more and needs more paint preparation. What we do here is waxing. If you are after a glass or ceramic coating, ask us first whether we are taking that work at the moment.

Is paint protection necessary, and what does it do?
Not necessary in the sense that the car still drives. But it does two things that genuinely show in Bangkok: water and grime grip the paint less, so the next wash is easier, and it puts a layer between your paint and the harsh sun and acid rain that are the main causes of fading.
How long does paint protection last?
Wax is the shortest-lived of the three, and the real figure depends on whether the car sits outside or under cover, how often it is washed, and what with. A car in daily sun and rain gets far less than one kept in a building. We look at your car and give a realistic interval rather than a number off a chart.
