There's a simple test for a scratch: run a fingernail across it. If your nail doesn't catch, the scratch is only in the clear coat and polishing can remove it. If your nail does catch, it has gone through to the colour or primer, polishing can make it much less visible, but only respraying removes it completely.
We'll run your nail across it with you before we start and tell you honestly what result to expect. Better that than paying first and being disappointed after.
