The engine bay is the part owners open least and the part that collects the most. Road dust blows in, mixes with oil vapour and engine heat, and turns into a sticky film that dry wiping will not shift and that hardens the longer it is left.
Cleaning it properly is not a matter of spraying water in. The fuse box, the ECU, the battery terminals and the loom should not take a hard jet. We cover what has to stay dry, work a degreaser and brushes into the gaps, then rinse at controlled pressure and blow it dry.
A clean engine bay is genuinely useful rather than just tidy: it means you or your mechanic can see a leak the moment it starts. Fresh oil on clean metal is obvious. On a bay that has been black for years, a small weep blends into the old grime until it is expensive.
